A little history first. When my husband was diagnosed with

gallstones in January, it was because he wasn't recovering from a

bout of diverticulities. He was on antibiotics, didn't feel better

after a couple of weeks, then had an CT scan, hence gallstones. He

was feeling sick, had pain in the usual GB area, felt like he had a

fever without the actual fever, nausea / throw uppy feelihng, and

tired.

AFter the first flush, he had diarrhea and felt good for a couple of

days. After the second flush a week later, he had no diarrhea, we

did start seeing some stones (we think anyway) and he felt pretty

good for about 3 weeks. The last couple of weeks, he's been feeling

like he did when he was first diagnosed, just not quite that bad

yet. Somedays he feels ok, but just now well. We did the third

flush last weekend. He never really felt better, but we did finally

see some stones (we think again). He didn't get diarrhea again, but

his stool had that clay look for about a day.

It's been a few days now and he is still feeling pretty bad. The

pain comes and goes, and he has all the symptoms from before the

first flush only they are not that bad yet. So, I'm wondering a lot

and was hoping to get some opinions from everyone.

1. Do we need to flush weekly until he starts feeling better?

2. Do we need to add something to help him feel better?

3. How do we know that the flushings, diet, supplements aren't

helping and he needs surgery?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. csc
