Guest guest
Does this mean that the MTX caused the lymphoma or helped it. Pathologic and molecular analyses revealed that the Hodgkin cells contained Epstein-Barr virus and the viral DNA was monoclonal. She achieved complete remission after MTX withdrawal, chemotherapy, and radiation. To the best of my knowledge, this is the sixth report of Hodgkin lymphoma in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis receiving low dose MTX therapy. Guest guest
My understanding is that this doctor reports this is the 6th case that he has seen of Epstein-Barr Virus associated hodgkin lymphoma with the likely result being contributed to low dose mtx use. This is a risk factor for low dose methotrexate use.
