Kidding aside, I have had a spontaneous flush from avocado with flax seed oil dressing, and once from lentil soup with a healthy dollop of lemon juice and oil on top. My working hypothesis is that our bodies are designed to flush items from the GB along with the flow of bile and that it is perfectly natural to " spontaneously " flush if our diets deviate from our norm . Let the pros, Will, Dale or Dave, chime in with their opinions.
Guest guest
The problem is you never know what you are going to aggravate the heck out of it and get it infected, like I did when I o'd on milky/creamy/fatty stuff one weekend and had my first gall bladder attack -- I might have bene flushing a bit but not in a positive way. That's why I'm afraid to do a flush but just doing a little bit of cleansing herbs and foods and flaxseed oil/olive oil every day -- with epson salts every 3 or 4 days. Also frankly for financial reasons I'm procrastinating about getting an ultrasound (even though my roommate offered to pay since he fattened me up 50 lbs over the last 9 years with all those fatty foods I'd not have eaten if he didn't constantly push them on me). Sort of waiting to see if I have another half-way bad attack. Have had a couple small ones more related to stress than food. Anyway, don't want to flush out some huge thing I didn't know was in there. Plus, if I found out there's not much there, I might go back to bad habits, and I like losing all this weight! Not necessarily " allergic " but most likely a elimination response to something that does not agree with you. Also, sugars are saccarides as is fiber and other saccarides that are laxative (Glycosilate (sp?) sodium added to laxatives such as sennacot plus as a stool softener, or mannitol used as an infant laxative are a couple of examples). Chocolate worked really well with my dog when he stole 4 keebler chocolate oranges out of everyones stockings several Christmases ago; unfortunately the flush happened in the car on the way to the park. Makes me wish I had bought a toy daschunt (sp?) instead of a draahthar! -Dave
