Guest guest
Beth: Thanks so much for sharing Hannah's story. It broke my heart. I know that all of us parents share your heartbreak when you realize just how much your child endures, and what a strong spirit they have to endure it all. Rob woke up the other day and exclaimed, Wow, one of my knees doesn't hurt today! He was so happy. We were heartbroken when we realized that both of his knees hurt him every single day. Here's to a cure, very very soon. What is the next step for Hannah?? and Rob 17 Spondy Hi everyone: I wanted to share the following story (with Hannah's permission) that Hannah wrote. Our school's PTA holds an annual program called Reflections. Every year the theme is different. The kids can submit an original story, poem, photography, or musical composition. The theme for this year was My Favorite Place. There were 29 entries and Hannah took first place in the literature category. The entries were judged by 2 former principals and a retired guidance counselor. The kids names are on the back and are not seen by the judges. The kids have to fill out an entry form and there is an " artist statement " section that is optional. Hannah wrote the following on the form: What inspired me was my arthritis because I'm always in pain and I imagined a pain free place. That's how I got Pain Free Palace. Here is her winning story:
