But, I am human and I do not always combine properly. That is when I tend to constipation. I then take an herbal laxative which does not seem to cause an issue when I withdraw from it. I find if I do a bunch of a fruit or veggie I haven't had in a few weeks -- or a laxative -- it REALLY works. So rotation may be part of the issue for using laxatives as needed but preserving motility. (Of course, that's ASSUMING one is not eating a constipating diet but just trying to keep everything moving to keep liver/gall bladder working/hearling properly.)
