Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I've been wondering how our menstrual cycles affect our GB. Also, if there are certain times of our cycle that are more beneficial to cleanse. I cleansed 2 weeks ago during the onset of my menses and I didn't see any stones just chaff and grit. I've also noticed that my symptoms of bloating and pain usually are more likely to happen during this time for me. Just wondering what you ladies have to say about your experiences. Also, I had my first GB attack after my doctor put me on Mircette birth control pills for peri-menopause symptoms. I know my GB problems are hormone related. thanks, Dee
Guest guest
Dear Dee, If possible, try to get off the birth control pills. I was on them for about a year and started getting gall bladder attacks. Then the docs took me off the pills immediately. They said that the bc pills can cause gall bladder problems because of the estrogen. It does something to the bile in the liver that leads to stones in the gb. Estrogen also slows down the gall bladder contractions, which means that the bile backs up and stones form. This is why many women who are on bc pills and HRT have gb problems. If you can, try to get off of them as soon as possible... Also, if you read the fine print that comes with the pills, you will see that it says that people with gb problems shouldn't take them. Good luck and best of health to you.... Randi --- In gallstones , " ladybug35@j...
