Guest guest
Howdy all, I am new and still have a lot of reading of old posts but wondered if anyone could address being jaundice. I have been dealing with an unhappy gallbladder for the past week. Had my first attack on March 16th. On the 17th it was bad enough I went to the emergency room. Ultra sound was done on the 19th. The report confirmed gallstones but stated the liver and gallbladder were not inflamed. Did my first flush on the 19th...a few gallstones, sand and an unidentified white substance of a substantial quantity. My Dr. is being patient while I attempt to flush. I stopped at the health food store today and the owner was practically panicking over the fact that I am jaundice. I am not happy about it, I know it indicated something is not totally functioning in my liver but I am trying not to panic. Should I panic???? Thanks, Darlene
Guest guest
Darlene; No you shouldn't be panicking. There may be a lot of anxiety at this time but by perseverance you will be able to overcome this problem. Just relax and follow good healthy procedures of diet and exercise. You hadn't noted as to whether you have had an attack as yet and if you haven't then all the more reason not to be in a panic. Consider doing the Liver Cleansing Diet by obtaining a copy of Dr. Cabot's book " The Liver Cleansing Diet " . I'm quite sure you will be very pleased with the results of following her diet suggestions and especially with an understanding of the why's of doing this type of diet. I have been dealing with gallstones for over five years now and have been maintaining a diet as high in essential fatty acids as I can compared to my past of a lot of fatty hamburgers and French fries. It must work because I haven' had an attack since October of 99. I recently attempted to have a cholesterol test done at my chiropractor's business but the equipment used doesn't tell you the LDL and HDL nor triglycerides. It is just a test that does the total of the cholesterol in your body's blood. There is one big problem in that I can't tell you what it was because the equipment doesn't give a reading below 150 so I can only say I'm below 150 in total cholesterol at that time. I feel I owe the credit for that to Dr. Cabot's information and my keeping in line, sorta, with the general ideas she presents. I have to admit that I have been getting away with an awful lot of cheats for some time now but all in all I still practice what I teach.
