Guest guest
Lori, All of us are on our own health journey and I want you to understand that I am NOT giving you any health advice. Just throwing out a thought for you to consider on your journey. If you've been doing everything you know that normally works for gallbladder and it isn't working, perhaps you have another problem. ? I read somewhere, though, that candida overgrowth can cause gallstones.....it causes a lot of problems including hormonal and excess menstrual bleeding. ..... yogurt isn't the answer..... I like to use Bio-K.......a milk pro-biotic product (health-food-store). We use it to make guacamole (in place of sour-cream) and gobble it down with veggies. Just something to think about. good luck, Nina *********** ******************** >From: " Lori " <skydanse@...> >Reply-gallstones >gallstones >Subject: New -- help!!! Guest guest
Lori, R. Lee, M.D. has written two books: 'What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause' and 'What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause' . I would read them as soon a possible and please watch your anemia as it can get quite serious, you might have take some iron and work with a doctor until you get things under control. Guest guest
I appreciate the responses. I'm back on progesterone cream which has finally stopped the bleeding. Unfortunately it gives me severe mood swings so I guess I'll just have to crawl in a hole for awhile. :-) I've just been reading that removal of gallstones can poisitively affect the pancreas, hormonal imbalances, irregular periods, and a host of other menopausal symptoms (I've had the mood swings, but no hot flashes). Unfortunately, I'm without health insurance and have been self-treating for years because I simply don't trust doctors anymore, unless they're fixing a broken bone or a dislocation. I'm calling to order the gold coin grass at sensiblehealth.com -- it seems I've had these attacks for so long. I am feeling much better after my first flush. I must have gotten rid of four pounds of bile even though I didn't pass any stones. Lori
Guest guest
Thanks -- I've been making my own probiotic kefir from raw goat's milk for awhile but stopped doing dairy because I'm trying to avoid foods that may aggravate my gallbladder or liver. I can feel the pressure of my liver pushing against my ribcage when I eat something suboptimal. Lately it's been almost everything. For what it's worth, I did go to an iridologist and my pancreas came up as an issue as well. I've never had diabetes so I wonder about that. I do have a naturopath that I can go see again. My experience with doctors is generally don't spend enough time and jump to too many conclusions and won't do the proper tests and I do realize that insurance companies do tie their hands in so many ways. Unfortunately, we are the losers in this scenario. In case anyone's wondering, the book I read was by s Moritz and other readings have been on the internet. I suppose I need to order this other book that is mentioned by Cabot. I can easily get the " What the doctors don't tell you " books at my local health food store. Also, has anyone read the book by Tom Cowan " The Fourfold Path of Health? " Oh, just to let you know, I'm a pretty fit and active 50 year old and generally am in pretty decente shape, except for this aggravating condition that nobody's ever been able to pinpoint except my accupressure instructor several years ago being able to stop the pain by pressing my liver points. She got me going in the general right direction. I do have a history of candida but I wonder if this was a " what came first the chicken or the egg? " scenario. Did the candida cause the gallstones or can candida be the result of gallstones. I had my first gallstone attack years before I started having symptoms of candida. Sorry to ask so many questions. This is an amazing group and I'm glad I joined up. Lori
