Guest guest
My bag of epsom salts says " Uses: for relief of occasional constipation " and then it gets into the amounts to drink below that. It also has in large lettering on the front " Saline Laxative " . Perhaps your package of epsoms just doesn't have the same information on it. I've been drinking it for liver cleanses every 2 weeks for over a year, and have not noticed a problem. It's just a temporary use, not something you'd do all the time. Ornithine isn't a sleeping pill. It's an amino acid which naturally occurs in the body. I take 8 of them 500 mg each, with each cleanse to help me sleep. Again, no problems. Been taking them every 2 weeks for about 1 1/2 years. I would suggest though that the whipping cream cleanse looks like it's difficult to do for someone who has a sluggish gallbladder. It calls for 3/4 cup of oil. I found that a cup of oil almost made me vomit immediately. Also, consuming heavy cream and then all that oil would make me feel sick really sick. I remember when I first started cleansing, I felt nauseous all night long with just 1/2 cup of oil, but the results are worth it. I do recommend sleeping with 2 pillows raised up as it will ease the nausea. Just my 2 cents worth, but I think most people have best results with Dr. s version. Plus, the stones come out all in one day and you can see them so you can count them. You'll want to count the number approximately, as the gallbladder can hold thousands of them. Dr. said 2,000 stones, though I remember seeing even a higher number somewhere else! I can say that the cleansing takes diligence, and commitment to doing it every 2 weeks, otherwise you will suffer all that much longer. The epsom salts are really necessary as part of the cleanse because it opens up the bile ducts and the stones just get pooped out easily, and painless. It's because it's a laxative that you can't help but go to the bathroom and then the stones come right out. Also, drinking the epsoms with warm water instead of ice cold, might be really difficult to get down since the taste of it even when ice cold leaves an aftertaste. Guest guest
Dear , Since you've done so many liver flushes, have you noticed a decrease in number of stones released? If so, has it been a significant change? Any other changes you've noticed? Blessings, M. ----- Original Message ----- From: lightwalkercathy@... gallstones Sent: Monday, March 28, 2005 4:41 PM Subject: Re: Epsom salts and new on the list I've been drinking it for liver cleanses every 2 weeks for over a year... Guest guest
Indigestion after eating fat has decreased to a great degree. I hesitated adding flax oil to my diet, and only did so about 3 months ago. Initially I had tried it prior to that and had trouble digesting it. Same thing with digesting fish or even no fat tofu burgers because they are made from protein. I continued eating protein for lunch anyway and have noticed in the last few months that the indigestion has lessened to a great degree. Like many of you here, I started cleansing after suffering a few gallbladder attacks, ugh, talk about pain! I did Reiki and it helped get rid of the pain. I'm even feeling hunger pains in the afternoon lately more and more, which is a good sign. For those of you who know what I'm saying, you get a fullness that just doesn't go away even hours later. I think some of the food allergies are slowing disappearing. My skin used to break out immediately after eating certain foods. Some of the best things we can do is to take food enzyme capsules with each meal and any time you take vitamins. The enzymes help you digest your food and help with elimination. A good friend of mine is a colon hydrotherapist who really encourages enzymes. As we age, we have less and less enzymes produced in our bodies and we need help in the digestive process, and enzymes do just that. What is driving me to cleanse so often and regularly is insomnia. After much research and trying every product out there and nothing working, I've found that it's indigestion in the middle of the night which is the cause of the insomnia. I generally toss and turn, waking up every 2 hours all night, every night for the last few years. About all I can do for now is Reiki on my head and use large magnets on my liver/stomach areas while trying to fall back asleep. I hope that eventually I'll be able to report a good nights sleep! Can you believe it, I ate several pieces of cake, mostly the sweet icing, and this was in January? Sort of self defeating, because it causes stones! I made myself give up the jelly beans in my boss's office though! I bought a huge container of no fat pretzels for the office to snack on in between meals instead of sugar and that helps tremendously.
