can anyone vouch for SILYMARIN (milk thistle)?

Yes. Its milk thistle. Very liver healing and regenerating.

A good herb book that speaks at length about milk thistle and silymarin (its

active ingredient) is The Green Pharmacy by Jas Duke.

He was an FDA researcher attached to the US - Natl Institute of Health whose

job was to catalog all the medicinal plants - he spent a great deal of time in

the Amazon jungles.

I know him in passing and I have been struck by his commonsense, pragmatic

approach to medical intervention whenever I have heard his speak on his topic.

I once made a remark in support of " herbs " and he said... " , you want the

BEST for any circumstance, whether it is pharmaceutical or herbal... " . While

he preferred herbs he kept an open mind and has taught me to do the same...

It's not for everyone. It gave me twinges and constipation and I

haven't been able to drink alcohol (without pains and/or a weird

tongue sesnation) since using it a year ago.
