Hi , in response to your question below, my gastroenterologist told me

that ultrasound doesn't usually pick up " sludge " (thick bile) which sluggish,

inflammed gallbladders usually contain. My ultrasound was normal, even though

later surgery revealed a seriously inflammed gallbladder full of sludge.

Hello all....I am 30 years old and have been experiencing gallbladder

attacks now for about 6 months. I have at least 2 bad attacks a week

to where i just have to lay down in the bed and be very still . i saw

my doctor about this and he sent me for a full abdominal ultrasound

that came back normal. Well i went ahead and made an appointment with

a specialist to see what he recommends. I already live everyday of my

life with kidney stones and the pain they cause if i dont have to

deal with gallstones i really would rather not. Has anyone ever had

an ultrasound done that showed normal when you knew you had

gallstones and were having gallbladder attacks? Anyones input would

be greatly appreciated...Thanks!!
