Guest guest
Hi, I recently joined this group but wished I had joined earlier-- before I had my gallbladder removed in July 2003. Maybe I could have prevented surgery. I had the surgery after a HIDA scan showed my gallbladder was emptying only 13%. An ultrasound did not reveal any stones. Sure enough, after the surgery, the surgeon told me the gallbladder was badly inflammed, shrunken, full of sludge and had adhesions on it. Since the surgery, I have continued to be very uncomfortable, almost as bad as before the surgery! I have an almost constant dull pain in mid- and upper-right abdomen. The discomfort is also felt as pressure which often extends into the back. I also suffer from a dizziness or fullness in the forehead area, lots of belching, and frequent headaches. Continuing medical tests (including a fancy endoscopy which does an ultrasound from within the digestive tract) have revealed nothing out of the ordinary. A couple weeks ago I did the gallbladder/liver cleanse for the first time, basically using Hulda 's procedure. I was surprised at how easy the procedure was. Even more of a surprise was the elimination of so many tiny waxy spheres (mostly tan, some green, a few gray); there were so many I lost count, probably a 1000! I immediately felt unbelievably and dramatically better. The dizziness was gone. The belching was gone. My bowel movements were normal and very dark in color. But best of all, the abdominal discomfort was gone, replaced with a calm, light feeling. After a week, I could feel the symptoms returning. Today, two weeks later, I feel about as bad as I did before the cleanse. Maybe those of you with more experience in doing cleanses can answer a few questions: 1. About six days after the cleanse, I developed a sinus/ear infection, the first in several years. Has anybody else had trouble with getting sick after a cleanse? 2. Has anybody done a cleanse while they had a sinus infection, a cold, or the like? I would like to repeat the cleanse but am afraid I might get sicker. 3. I know " they " say repeated cleanses are needed to obtain more permanent relief of symptoms, but how many? What has been people's experience? I have proven to myself that I can get the pain to go away for several days, but can I hope for longer relief? And a comment... Since being diagnosed with an ill gallbladder, I was astonished to learn how widespread this problem is. You know, cholestecomy being the #1 surgery. So how come this isn't the #1 research topic? I asked my doctor what causes the gallbladder to go bad. She just shrugged her shoulders. This medical problem deserves much more attention and research than it is getting. Blessings to all of you. I'm glad to be part of this group. We all deserve vibrant health!
