Counting on all of you > who have been > through this before. > > , Are you saying that you have been drinking JUST apple juice and water since this past Friday? 3 days? And you haven't had a BM in 3 days? Are you inclined to be constipated? In order to have a good flush, your colon and intestinal system should be cleaned out, I'm surprised nothing is moving, usually the apple juice alone stimulates the flow of bile which acts somewhat like a laxative...maybe tomorrow will be a different day :-) At any rate, the Epsom Salts are purgative, and will " get you going " when you drink them in preparation for the " bedtime cocktail " of olive oil & lemon juice. I use grapefruit juice personally, with both the epsom salts and instead lemon juice with the olive oil. Lemon juice DOES have it's own benefits, so either way, it should work...FRESH SQUEEZED grapefruit juice just tastes better. I'd give it a go and see what happens since you've already been doing the preparation, but that just my humble opinion. http://nutritionist.bravehost.com/gallbladder.html ===== L. Guest guest
Some people should not do the Apple juice fast prior too the flush (just my opinion) Apple Juice is very high sugar (fructose)...Mother nature packaged apple juice/sugar with generous amounts of water & fibre for a reason. When you consume the juice/sugar without the water /fibre content ...your GI (insulin reaction is much much higher compared to that generated by eating the entire apple ( & if you carefully chew each mouthful of whole apples, you will help lessen the sugar hit/impact even more). Back to the % of population that are particuarly susceptible to sugar/starch in the diet ..(due to possibly some considerable antibiotic use in thier past or whatever)...these people (who often experience symptoms like bloating when consuming juice )..are better off without it (imo). I have done 4 succesful flushes over the years & never have I done the apple juice fast thing...I havnt tried " malic acid (or any alternatives too apple juice) either but you might want to consider that instead if you feel you need something ... I personally dont drink fruit juice period,.....I dont see this as a " good " food..fwiw...if your going to have an apple do it ...dont leave a valuable half or more of it on the fruit proccessing factory floor. ----- Original Message ----- From: jenniferlieberenz gallstones Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 8:48 AM Subject: New Member with a big question Hello everyone....my name is and I am a new member as of today. I have been having gallbladder pain off and on for the past year, not realizing what it was...until last week. I had the worst attack on Sat Night that I ever had that lasted about 7 hours. I had teh ultrasound on Thurs and sure enough, there was the gall stone (or more that haven't showed up). I am not sure on the size yet, but plan to call the doc and find out tomorrow. Anyway, since the ultrasound, I have been extremely uncomfortable (although Sunday through that time wasn't too bad). sometimes pain, but not like an attack. Anyway, on Thurs the doc called in a prescrip for Levaquin (antibiotic) because the gall was inflamed and he wanted to get that under control. The discomfort was such after the poking and prodding of the ultrasound that on Fri he also prescribed Lortab...definitely helped. Well, also on Fri, not wanting surgery if I can avoid it, I turned to the internet looking for alternative ways to see if I could " cleanse " it out. YEA!!! I found lots...all dealing with olive oil and lemon juice and perhaps epsom salts. Okay...here is my question. I have been on the apple juice " fast " since Friday. Just apple juice and water. and I am so uncomfortable with the bloating and haven't had a BM since Thur. SHOULD I STILL GO AHEAD WITH THE FLUSH TOMORROW???? Please oh please answer!! Guest guest
Hi , Bloating is due to no BM's. Are you drinking enough liquid? As others have said, apple juice usually hleps to regulate the BMs. The flush may be a good idea to get your system moving. Good luck! ~S --- " jenniferlieberenz " <mattjenn@c...> wrote: > Okay...here is my question. I have been on the apple juice " fast " > since Friday.
