Guest guest
Hi Jen, Just got back from Dr. Leu's office. He is going to test her female hormones (yes, she's only 12), stool test and a CBC. She has a virus that is clearing up nicely but she always seems to get sick after her monthly cycle. In addition to that, she bleeds very heavily for 7 days. She was on antibiotics a lot as a baby and also an extremely one for a month a few months ago for a sinus infection. He said that people with a heavy yeast load will develop more sinusitis. That certainly was true for me when I had a lot of yeast. He couldn't believe that her pediatrician never checked her for yeast. I took her in because she thought she had a yeast infection. The doc looked at her and said that because she wasn't sexually active, she didn't have a yeast infection! Dr. Leu was appalled because that of course isn't true. He said to wait on the Organic Acid Urine test. He said he would run it on her if he couldn't clearly see what is going on with her when he gets the results back from the above tests. Also, what is strange is that she has had a weird foot rash since she was very young. Her pediatrician never knew what it was. Dr. Leu looked at it and said it was definitely fungal and goes along with her yeast problems. So, we'll find out about her long periods, the yeast load and what her blood counts are. The funny thing, or not so funny really, is that her pediatrician actually suggested putting her on birth control if her periods continued to be so hard. Geez. Can't wait to get her tests done and back! I've been having hot flashes again so I asked him about that. I had them for a few months and he put me on hormones and they went away, until now! I have been drinking caffeinated ice tea some so I haven't taken my adrenal supplements because both can wire me, especially if combined. I didn't realize that the adrenal supplement also feeds the female hormones. Duh!! I caused these hot flashes by not taking the adrenal supplement for the last few days. Just shoot me! Guest guest
Thanks I find that all so interesting, I'm sure he will get her on her way to feeling great, was this her first time seeing him? Its crazy what some MD's will do!!! yikes BCP at 12?! Anyway I know I will also be a test junkie & I'm trying to decide what test to ask him for next I can barely stand to wait for my Organix results to come back, the suspense is killing me and I still have awhile to wait Jen --- In , Kenda Skaggs <kdskaggs@c...> wrote: > > Hi Jen, > > Just got back from Dr. Leu's office. Guest guest
Oh, I forgot, he also put her on Andrographis. It was her first official visit with him. He has prescribed things for viruses but I have never taken her in for general health care. I’m so disgusted with her pediatrician’s office that I will use Dr. Leu more for her care. I like her main doc but he doesn’t see her for female type problems, he sends her to a female doc in the practice. I was shocked when she suggested the BCP for , as was Dr. Leu. I’m anxious to see what her hormones are like. He told me yesterday that he has tests I have never done, I was so shocked. I remember the Organix test results took longer than some of the others to come back. Has he suggested any additional tests for you? Kenda Thanks I find that all so interesting, I'm sure he will get her on her way to feeling great, was this her first time seeing him? Its crazy what some MD's will do!!! yikes BCP at 12?! Guest guest
http://curezone.com/foods/watercure.asp Here's the link again. Make sure you drink half of your body weight in ounces in water a day. Eliminate junk food from your diet, crackers pretzels, potato chips, cookies. Eliminate refined sugar from your diet. Sugar can cause gallstones, not that that's what you have but tests have shown nothing for me either and I had gallstone symptoms. Could be sludge which the flush will help with. The link I gave you above has info on exactly how to do the cleanses also. Good luck! --- L L <xairai18@...> wrote: > Hi Jen > My pain started in my right side under the rib. Guest guest
Hi Jen: No offense, but Aleve just is not going to help that much with RA - are you taking any other meds, or is that truly it? You need to be on a DMARD to slow the progression of the disease - you may think that the Aleve is working because it decreases the pain, but what is happening to your joints and your body, is silently continuing under your skin. Relieving the pain is just not enough - believe me, I also thought that way for a while, but being in this group and hearing others stories has really opened my eyes. Have you given any consideration to taking anything else - has your doctor suggested it? Guest guest
I might add that it was OTC Aleve that gave me a bleeding ulcer. Guest guest
You’re very welcome, Jen. I bought my netipot from Wild Oats but any health food store or even a store that sells yoga products will likely have them. Be sure to buy neti salt too because regular salt is too course and will burn your nose. I have never used the Rejuvenation cream before, do you know what it is for? Is the Skinstore reasonable? I have always bought my MD Forte products from my dermatologist but they are far from reasonable. I buy some of my supplements from myhealthfirst.com. He carries a lot of the products we use except for the private label ones and they are much cheaper. Kenda Thanks Kenda, I need to order some more of the Andrographis along with the other products you mentioned. I'm tired of all these colds/flus!! Also where can I find the netipot(sp?) you mentioned earlier for my sinus's? I think that's what you called it? As for the MD Forte products, I use Cleasner number 1, lotion 2 (in summer) and cream 2 (in the winter), so it sounds like the same as what you do, I was wondering what all the other creams are for like the Rejuvenation cream etc. have you tried that? I have never tried an acid peel, but would like to and I order all the MD Forte products from skinstore.com Where is the cheapest to buy Andrographis at? Thanks!
