Guest guest
Well, it's been 4 days now. My husband is doing better. Still now well, but better. We are following the principles in the LCD book, but found that we needed more food for some reason. So, we are thinking the healing may take longer. Thanks to the advice of members of this group and some personal responsbility for diet and such, things look hopeful. Just an update. Thanks. csc
Guest guest
Regarding the need for more food you are at liberty with the LCD to have a lot of foods of which are complex carbohydrates and have high fiber content. The main idea here is that you are eating a diet that contains Essential Fatty Acids and other nutritional value as well as having good content of soluble and insoluble fiber. From there on it's eat, eat, eat and enjoy until sated. To understand the difference between the fiber types consider one as a gel and the other as a solid mass. An example of this is the corn kernel. When a kernel of corn is chewed thoroughly it will still have a husk or exterior of which is solid, its insides are some solid but will be somewhat of a gel that can carry the nutrition of the corn. You may see kernel husks in the toilet and think that the corn wasn't chewed well enough but that simply isn't the case. The husk simply is a solid mass and will not digest but will help to carry along the gel mass from which is absorbed nutrition and then is provided waste. This is the reason why high fiber foods of which are a combination of soluble and insoluble fiber will help to reduce the levels of cholesterol in the body, but only if the passage of the matter is timely, and by that I mean one or more times a day. This is also why advertisements on such things as oatmeal will say " may help reduce high cholesterol " . They don't explain why they just say it may. The fact is that it will, but only if you understand the relationship between the various fats, the liver, gallbladder and the foods eaten. Dr. Cabot does and that is what the LCD is all about, balance. I'm glad to hear that you are having some success at this time and I can expect to hear of even greater success as time goes on. I have applied the principles of the Liver Cleansing Diet for the last 5 years and have not had another gallbladder or liver attack since its application in my life. A plus to that too is that for the last three years I have been able to eat pretty much whatever I like. I simply don't over do the high animal fats as I use to do. Mcs and a lot of the other fast food places lost a customer but I'm sure they are very understanding,,,,,,,,,,,,,yeah,,,,right! Dale >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..
