Guest guest
Hi all, I was just replying to someone privately and realised I had forgotten to mention probiotics - I also take 2 Primadophilus/Bifidus capsules with my lemon juice in water first thing in the morning. Does anyone have any yummy liver friendly dressings/sauces for salads? As always if you have comments to make that could improve my/our diet we are very happy to hear from you. Blessings Mama. ----- Original Message ----- Sent: Saturday, August 27, 2005 2:54 PM Subject: Re: Catch up from Mama >>>search for messages by a woman who posted as wittfamily. She was called Mama. She has 7 darlings and she breast fed and figured out how to manage her gallbladder at the same time<<< Sorry about the last message folks, one of those 7 darlings (thank you for the lovely description of our blessings )) distracted me and I clicked the reply button twice. Anyway, I am still here (still breastfeeding too )) although I am very quiet these days and I must admit to being way, way, WAY behind on reading the messages in this folder (Over 1200 unread at last check <sigh>). But if anyone is having pregnancy, breastfeeding liver/gallbladder related issues please e-mail me privately janne@... I will be happy to help as time allows. We Home Educate our 7 blessings so it may take me a day or three ;o) to reply to you but as said you can search in the archives for my messages and they should pretty much bring you up to date on how I treated/treat my liver/gallbladder - I often posted from that e-mail too so if you are searching for my messages you should check out that e-mail addy also. While I'm here I want to encourage you all to keep up the good work. I am now a complete convert to the slow and easy style of liver cleansing with liver support and correct diet. My last proper cleanse was forever ago because I didn't like to do one during pregnancy and while breastfeeding unless I absolutely had too, which I did 2 or 3 times early in my last pregnancy and again twice within 8 weeks of each other back in July and September 2004 just after (#7) was born. Each time I had a stone stuck in my bile duct (Well, I don't really believe they were actually stuck, just moving very slowly) and did super double cleanses to push the stone through but without the fast or apple juice beforehand. At other times I did them with a fast and apple juice for the 3/4 days prior. was 3 - 11 weeks old for the last two and I have not had a single problem since then - although we are heading into spring here Downunder so the next few months are blinking warning lights for me, but I've been so well this last year, and feel GREAT! - better than I have for over 20 years - that I don't believe I'm going to have a problem i.e. It's almost September and I haven't had more than a gentle niggle this year yet whereas in past years if I was going to have an issue it was well before now. It's over three years (June 2002) since I had my life threatening incident (stuck stone -again I believe it was just slow moving - and liver enzymes through the roof) and was in and out of hospital for 3 months when our 6th child was 10mths to 13mths old. Contrary to the specialists prognosis I did see that Christmas (and the two since) and I still haven't had my gallbladder removed - and do not ever expect to. I still start every day off with the juice of half a lemon in 8oz of water, followed by a tannin/caffeine free green tea (and I have a second Green tea at 4.00pm), I now eat 2 free range eggs for breakfast just about every morning (Will, I often think of you as I enjoy my eggs )) preceded by 2T flaxseed oil and 3T lemon juice. We eat a largely raw diet and I take a multivitamin, milk thistle, selenium, Co-enzyme Q10 & chromate at morning tea time with chamomile tea, and 2 Superior magnesium's and 2 calcium tabs every night before I go to bed. We continue to be sugar free, wheat free and mostly eat salads & stir fry's with garlic, braggs, ginger, whole grains -organic, a little meat - also organic, hummus, avocado's, LOTS of water and apples, apples, apples. We take plenty of walks to the park in the sunshine and over winter we take cod-liver oil for VitD. If anyone has some advice on our diet, as always, I welcome your input ) I still refer anyone to start with Cabot's book 'The Liver Cleaning Diet' and I hope this has been some help to someone. Welcome to the new members and Hi! to all the old timers, err regulars ;o) Now, off to play with our 7 little Darlings - it's number 6's 4th birthday party tonight ) (Btw is almost 15mths old - How the time flys!) You will find MANY cleanses there -- some are the slower kind you can do without Epsom salts. If you look at the bottom of this message you will see the links to the cleanses. Also, search for messages by a woman who posted as wittfamily. She was called Mama. She has 7 darlings and she breast fed and figured out how to manage her gallbladder at the same time. She is extraordinary and if you take the time to find her messages you will learn a bundle. You need to keep searching over and over. The first search goes back X days and the second goes back further, and each additional one further still. She was posting in Jan - June 2003 when she was pregnant with her last child. Hope this helps, (atlanta)
