The more I read (on this site, other " natural healing " websites, as

well as reputable medical websites) the more things are falling into

place with me\my condition.

I'd guess most of y'all know my story ... that I signed myself out of

an L.A. hospital last week with acute pancreatitis, them telling me I

have sludge in the GB but no stones. But then the Dr. here at home

said they do see the sludge, but also a few small " shadows. "

I found something very interesting at a webpage at the University of

land Medical Center site re: gallbladder disease:

" ... One study reported that very small gallstones increase the risk

for acute pancreatitis. "

What do you people think?

(The rest of that quote is, " Some experts therefore believe that

gallstones smaller than 5 mm warrant immediate surgery. " For that, I

send them dingleberries) :P~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ;)

If you'd like to read it for yourself, you can find it (not far at all

down the page) under the heading " Expectant Management " at:

_approach_treating_gallstones_gallbladder_disease_000010_7.htm

Thanks again to everyone who helped me so much when I was feeling

afraid and desperate last weekend. You gave very good advice,

including calming me down which helped as much as anything, I think.

Until 2 weeks ago, I'd never given a thought to what I eat, not to

mention eating at regular intervals. Oh - and I *never* ate breakfast

until this week because I " didn't have time. " (HA!) That was my life

for 42 years. If I'm blessed with 42 more, it'll be much different.

It already is. For the past week (beginning after the 6 days of the

fast [with IV fluids] in the hospital with the acute pancreatitis)

I'm now eating as correctly as I've been able to learn in only one

week, " listening " to my body, and walking every day.

I've spent approx. 38 of my 42 years sitting on a piano bench) and I'm

already feeling much, much better. I'm mainly eating " almost " raw

veggies, a couple cups of organic apple juice daily to slowly get

myself ready for a flush, and drinking more water in the past week

than I have in the past one or two years combined. Seriously. I've

almost *never* drank water. Oh yeah ... I'm " going " at least once a

day, now. That's never happened! (Oh - and today, something red and

" mucky " came out. What the heck was that?!)

It's absolutely amazing how quickly the body can heal itself when

given a chance. I think the reasons I've never given health a thought

are, 1). I was practically raised *not* to eat healthy (as Oprah says,

I grew up in the southeastern USA where everything is fried;

breakfast, lunch and dinner) 2). I've never been sick, and 3). I'm

not overweight. But the week before last while far from home, I

learned the very sudden and rude lesson that #2 & #3 are not all there

is to it {:-\

be healthy,

Mark
