Guest guest
Hi all, I'm having some changing diagnosis on ultrasounds of my gall bladder. 5 years ago I was diagnosed (via ultrasound) with a 2mm polyp on mygallbladder. A half year later I started to have upper right quadrant pain and shortly after that began to become physically sick when eating moderate or large amounts of fat. The pain increased and I was given a second ultrasound which showed the then polyp be a 5mm stone. Doctors told me to leave it alone and live with it. I did so but then last December I became extremely ill with a complete fat intollerance, intense upper right abdominal pain which radiated around to the left side. In February I had another ab ultrasound and the diagnosis was a 4.5mm cyst, not a stone. Nothing was done about my symptoms and the gall bladder is still its proper place howevere still feeling ill I had another ultrasound done last month by another doctor which diagnosed a very small polyp on my gall bladder. What gives? Has anyone ever heard of a changing diagnosis like this? Is there anything that can resemble a " something " on or in the gallbladder? By the way I had a CTScan which didn't show anything on the gallbladder. Would a CTScan show a stone or cyst? Thanks in advance for your oppinions! Guest guest
Ted, Sounds to me like you may want to get to an abdominal specialist who can actually READ an ultrasound pic and give you a definitive answer. Being jerked around the way you have been so far is absolutely unacceptable.
