Guest guest
All I know is that, that is one of the things that I elimated before the onset of this stuff, RA .. then I read that the rate of RA & other forms of arthritis, basically go off of the scale in areas of limited sun .. long winters.. It is how your body manufactures VITD .. I bought into the 'no sun at all' .. The one book that I read said, I believe 20 minutes a day on your shoulders, along with brisk walk for exercise will do it... I'm doin much more than that .. whole body sun..and more than 20 minutes .. I was in full sun for many years and never had any problems .. I do have olive type skin tho .. so that does help. Later .. DaveF. [ ] DAVE Dave F, So you say being in the sun is important if you have RA? How much , do you know? I love to lay in the sun but I've been shy from it for 25 years now because I don't want cancer or wrinkles. I'm 44 and everyone thinks I'm in my young 30s. Maybe it's time to start looking my age and head for the pool!! Smiles, Kath
Guest guest
Hi Dave, thanks for all the great info. I'll get the book. > -Because you have cold digestion, the whole raw > food thing is hard on you. I did eat half a pound of raw macadamia nuts in 2 days finished them yesterday but I crave fats. Not just any fats but nuts in particular I'm very active sometimes and I need non-perishable easy access foods for my hikes and my on the go lifestyle and other days I do absolutely nothing. It's high and low for me like I said before, 3 or 4 days out of the week I go go go and the rest I stay hibernate. But I feel very tired after I eat the raw nuts so now I'll resume to fewer raw nuts and more roasted and with more fiber like almonds. Also raw organic macadamia is over 20 dollars for a pound and that is reason for me to take a break from them. I started that whole raw nut thing when I was vegan and nuts were the only things that filled me up. I was on a raw food diet prior to gallstones for a couple of months and thought that's what I was supposed to do. You will do much better > with your veggies lightly steamed, I found a new love for veggies, trader joes' organic veggie blend with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. your nuts > roasted, higher protein than most, eating smaller > amounts more often. Hmm.. interesting, that I didn't know. I get protein from yogurt and lots of lamb and then it's hamburgers and all the unhealthy stuff.> >Sugar is your evil lover. I'm working on the sugar thing... Quality is the key. Lots of cold pressed vegeable oils, fish oils, etc. Anytime you high heat a fat you change the molecular structure (not good), even if you are using extra virgin olive oil, pressed by extra virgins. But I feel very tired after I eat the raw nuts so now I'll resume to fewer raw nuts and more roasted and with more fiber like almonds. -Nuts are very concentrated and hard to digest (especially for you). Limiting the quantity of nuts of all kinds will help. You kind of binge on them, overloading the system. You will also due better with sprouted grains than you will with unsprouted. Guest guest
Yeah, go figure that. A friend's partner tested as hypogonadism and rejects any form of treatment. > Dave > >Wow, I am surprised to hear that gay men would not seek help >for ED. Guest guest
It is never to late once he starts to feel better like I did he will want to lose the weight. He did not stay on it because he thought he would get a sharper drop in his cholesterol. It dropped but not enough in only three weeks. The doctor still wanted him on Lipitor. I wish he had stayed on it and given it more of a chance. I am discouraged to hear that your work out regimen has not done more for you. Weight Watchers also has a good reputation. DH has a very hairy back and shoulders. He has to shave his neck everyday. He is getting bald on top though. When my husband was successful with the weigh loss he was following a portion control method od eating he learned from a nutritionist. Of course he was much younger then. It is just that you read so many reports on how bad abdominal fat is for you. Michele
