Guest guest
My Valentines Day present from the dr this year was that is off the prednisone. YAY!! The dr also said that he has good range of motion and his labs look fine. She does want him to get another bone density scan. Apparently, she never received the results of the first one. It is nice to have the facilities in town for his labs and such scans, but it can be difficult to get the results to his rheumy. Guest guest
Hi Misty, Such a wonderful event, to help celebrate the holiday. I hope continues to do well, with no undue setbacks. Josh is among that minority of kids who have major difficulties even in just attempting to taper, never mind discontinue, the long-term corticosteroids ... so I can fully appreciate what you've been through on the way to reaching this stage. I am fully rejoicing to hear about this terrific milestone! All the best, to and Mom & family! Please keep us updated ... hopefully with great news! : ) Much Aloha, Georgina We stopped Pred! Guest guest
Thank you. had some setbacks in the first year. He would flare every time we tried to taper. So we have been tapering for over 2 years to reach this point. I really hate giving him daily shots, but the Kineret has done wonders for him. Now, he needs to build strength back up. He has gotten used to not walking, so we have to encourage him to exercise more. Misty & (9, systemic) > > Hi Misty, > > Such a wonderful event, to help celebrate the holiday.
