Guest guest
Hi Aly, I can't help you with Valley Children's Hospital, but I was wondering if Stanford would be a possibility for you since you now go to Oakland? Our daughter has been seen by the chief pediatric rheumy at Stanford, and we have been very, very impressed. We live in Oregon, but our 18 year old systemic daughter goes to college in the San Fran area, and we have to have an emergency doctor for her in California. Guest guest
Hi and thanks for your reply. I have thought about Stanford but it's a longer trip than Oakland for us. We are already making weekly trips to Oakland (3 hours away) and with a 5yr old & our other 2 younger children, well, it gets a bit much. (We sometimes leave the 2 younger ones with grandma but one is an infant and he doesn't take a bottle well!) Madera would be a much easier and shorter drive, so I'm just hoping it would work out. I won't hesitate to look into Standford, but I'd love it if the dr. in Madera was a good one! -Alyson > > > Hi, I'm new to this forum. Guest guest
Hi Aly, We are in Northern California as well and see the pediatric rheumatologists at Stanford. We have been very impressed. My daughter has not yet been diagnosed, but I feel like the doctors at Stanford truly care about her and listen to our concerns. They have looked for every possible option and have not given up finding an answer. Our regular doctor is Dr. Tzielan Lee. Hope that helps some. Unfortunately I am not familiar with Valley Children's Hospital in Madera. Good luck! am > > Hi, I'm new to this forum. Guest guest
I also am from Northern California. I currently am treated at Stanford adult hospital because I'm 23. However I was treated by Dr. Sanborge at Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital (stanford childrens) and it honestly was amazing being treated there. I miss my pediatric rheumatology staff and the hospital is a very nice facility too. I would consider Stanford.. I've heard UCSF is really good too. Not sure about Valley Children's though sorry.
