Guest guest
and I leave for Ann Arbor this Wednesday to the MHNI (neuro institute) to have her daily migraines addressed/treated. My rheumy and I were discussing meds at my visit so I asked a question re: . I guess the dr was in a chatty mood. She thinks 's rheumy is being much too conservative, even for her (she knows her) and said if she were the parent, her concern would be the side effects of the Pred and the continuing damage taking place since the mtx has not helped.... she thinks they have wonderful drs at U of MI and suggested a second rheumy consult while we are there. ( will be in hospital for ~ 15 days, not leaving much flexibility). She gave me two names - she does not know them (she phoned her rheumy friend back there but it is such a big place the adult side and peds side do not have familiarity with one another much) but both are board certified: ph McCune, MD Hillary Hafter, MD there was also a Mark Hoeltzel, MD but he is a fellow and she did not think that was appropriate here. Not sure if I can work out the logistics, but it would be interesting to get a fresh perspective on treatment so I wondered if anyone on list saw either and/or preferred either.....if you get a differing opinion, what do you do then? It surely would be an awkward situation. Thanks, (, 17, poly, cvid, migraines) Thanks --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
