It isn't just a question of getting rid of the stones to stop the attacks. To

stop the attacks we have to

return the gallbladder to how it was before it got inflamed.

We have to reverse the inflammation, fibrosis and necrosis of the tissue to

allow it to function

normally again.

I sent a recent post to this group outlining a protocol which theoretically

could restore

the functionality, under the title " Logical Protocol " . I look forward to

discussions on this.

There is also a Chinese " electroacupuncture " known as " ECIWO " . The professor

who

developed this technique tested it on 200 patients like us with chronic

cholecystitis, at

Shandong University in China. He reported total success with 192 of these

people,

i.e., the gallbladder returned to normal size and shape on ultrasound, and there

was no

more discomfort or attacks, even after consuming fats.

I think exercise can help to a certain degree and I think it, along with other

lifestyle issues, is more of a prevention than cure. However, I would run to

reduce the severity of my attacks but I was never able to stop the attacks

entirely or get rid of the gallstones through exercise. Diet didn't stop the

attacks entirely either. A flush without the Chinese herbs helped some, but my

personal jury's still out on Chinese herbs although I have a good gut feeling

about them because they stopped my attacks within two days of starting them. I

tend to get my worst attacks in the spring and I only started on the herbs (the

herbs from sensiblehealth.com) just a couple of months ago. This spring (March

2006) will be key for me because my attacks have been bad this time of year for

decades.
