Guest guest
you can still give Tylenol for the fever even though she is on the Naproxen. I do not know that the Naproxen will help with the fever. It did not bring down Zoe's when she had a fever a while back, but it came down when I added in the Tylenol. I hope she is feeling better soon. Joann Zoe, 6 Pauci _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of stacey Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2008 10:46 PM Subject: Fever help I'm not sure what to do here. Jordan has fever of 101.9 that came from no where. She said her ankles hurt at school today and about 1 ago she said her knees were bothering her. For the most part she's been fine today. After school she was running around playing. She even lost her first tooth this afternoon and had to call EVERYONE she was so excited. Usually I'd give her some Tylenol or Motrin but since she's started back on Naproxen I'm not sure what to give her. It's close enough to her scheduled dose of Naproxen so that should help her fever since it's a NSAID like Motrin right? Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Stacey, Our Dr says it is ok to give tylenol when needed for fever and or headaches when needed even when she is on naproxen. I don't think the naproxen helps at all with fever. Hope she will start feeling better soon. Donna (Kailey, 9, Poly) > > I'm not sure what to do here. Guest guest
What I did was give her the regular dose of Naproxen and within about 1 hour she was feeling better and her fever had gone down. It wasn't gone but not like it was. She fell asleep on me around 10 last night and I figured she'd wake up at least once and I could give her Tylenol then but she didn't. She woke up this morning at 6:30 and she was back up to 102.3. I gave her her regular dose of Naproxen so I'll give her some Tylenol in a bit. I'm going to call her Dr. to let them know she has a fever. I had strep a little over a week ago so it's possible she has it now. She's not complaining about anything hurting now so I have no clue what's going on with her. We're supposed to go to our Walk- Kick off tomorrow night and now I'm not sure if we're going to make it Stacey & Jordan, 5 Pauci & Uveitis >
Guest guest
Do not give Motrim if a child is taking an NSAID. You can give tylenol. Sandi **************It's Tax Time! Guest guest
Hi , I give my son tylenol for any fevers not motrin - just like the other moms mentioned. Also, thought I would let you know that both my boys also had a fever with no complaints of much else. The fever lasted a few days and the doctors said it was a flu that was going around this year. Rest and fluids cleared it up at our house after a few days. Fever help I'm not sure what to do here. Jordan has fever of 101.9 that came from no where.
