Guest guest
I agree...any one of the good brands are good, like Reebok, Ryka, etc. Everyone's feet are different and what might be good on my feet won't be good on someone else's. That's why the same brand will have many different models. When I took up running, I went to a specialized running store and got specially "fitted", you have to know things like do your feet supinate, pronate, etc. different shoes offer support for different conditions. Tennis shoes are for tennis though, not made for aerobics and weights. Thanks!hi christi - tennis shoes are for tennis! lol. go to a reputable fitness shoe store and tell them what you want to do and they will help you get the right shoes. the best bet seems to be to get a cross-trainer and not a specialized shoe (one that is especially made for aerobics or walking or running or basketball).:*carolyn. Guest guest
Christi, you will want a quality crosstrainer shoe, for kickboxing and step and they will work for your other workouts. DON'T get running shoes, they are designed for front to back movement, and in aerobics we do a lot of lateral movement. I highly recommend Nike's MaxAir 61's. It's what many aerobics instructors use. They are kind of spendy, $85, but if you have a friend who's an employee use their %50 employee discount!

Guest guest
Shoes are like anything else and vary from person to person based on your feet, posture, preference, etc. I'm going to post a .pdf file that is a client handout I use sometimes, regarding athletic shoes. Hope it helps. Tonya > In a message dated 3/29/2005 12:37:32 PM Eastern Standard Time, > christi6102@c... writes: > Does anyone know the best tennis shoe for aerobics? Guest guest
Try looking on about.com under their walking section they should have recommendations for shoes...depending on what you want to do. Guest guest
Hello All! It has been a long time since I've written last. I have an odd request... My son Sam (dx with systemic JRA at 1 year) was honored a couple years back at our Arthritis Walk. He was presented with a pair of brand new Asics tennis shoes. At the time they were way to big (they're a size 11 and he wore a size 6 at the time). He finally wears a size 10-11 (toddler) but the shoes are too narrow for his feet (which resembles those of Fred Flinstone now - hahahaha). I asked Sam if he wanted to give them to his cousin, Shane, and he answered " No, mommy, Shane doesn't have arthritis... I need to give them to someone with arthritis " . So, I was wondering if anyone had a little one with Arthritis that would be interested in a pair of brand new Asics tennis shoes, size 11 (toddler). They are very nice and we want them to go to a good home :-) Sure I could ebay them or give them away to someone, but it is very important to Sam that they go to another child with Arthritis. How do you argue with that??? Update on Sam: He's doing wonderful... he's been on Kineret for almost a year and he's doing better than ever! He's just now getting over a bout with pneumonia but all is looking good. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, we sure did!!! Take care, Lincoln (mom to Sam, systemic JRA)
Guest guest
aw how thoughtful. Sounds like you have a very considerate son. even if he is a little guy. You dont see many considerate kids these days! we are past that size in shoes but we all appreciate the offer! Guest guest
, Call the Local AF and ask if there is another child who may be able to wear the shoes. I have to say is to big for that size lolol. She actually has a bigger foot than me. There should be a child that has AF that the AF could get you in contact with. How are you and the Family doing? I often think about You and Sam. Congradulations on the Video. Many have seen it and there will always be many who will see it. Thanks for allowing this to take place. Hope to meet y'all. My daughter (systemic JRA, since 1 also) is almost four and almost into a 9 toddler shoe. we would be flattered to have them if you don't find someone locally. , and Jana CHRISTINA LINCOLN <chrislinc@...> wrote: Hello All!
