Guest guest Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 Hi Everyone, Its been a while since I have posted.My daughter Jordan 10, has systemic, she was diagnosed just over a year ago.Things have been pretty calm.She is on Naproxen and Kineret.Occasional stiffness but that is usually the only sign of arthur. Our newest dilema though has me and all the doctors in the ED stumped. We were in the emergency room all night because Jordan has had severe flank pain on her left side and has been overly tired and sleepy,15 hours plus a day this has been going on for 5 days now. First they said it was a uti, but she has no burning when she pees and no fever,they took a urine sample and said antibiotics will help, I insisted on bloodwork being done because that gut feeling is there.Well blood work came back normal for her, which means a few things off because of the JRA but nothing pointing to what the new problem is.The doctor came in and said she is now stumped because its definitly not a uti but nothing else is showing in the blood work. So next she ordered a CT scan. Once again nothing showing. So at 5 am they send us home with no answers, Jordan is still hurting and feeling very sleepy.I feel like we are back to where we first started before her diagnosis, back to the unknown. I was just wondering if anyone has had these symptoms or any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
