e,

fortunately, I feel pretty comfortable that it is not TB - one of the tests to

be sure she is infection free prior to beginning Enbrel was a TB test she had

just a week ago. Now she is waking totally drenched from her daytime sleeping

(which is almost constant today) as well but she has no fever. She is having

muscle twitching, awake or asleep, had her first ocular migraine last night and

today her " bad " joints are considerably worse.

Her immuno and rheumy work very closely together on the same floor at UCLA (she

always sees them back-to-back so they can share thoughts) so I am sure they have

discussed it but he and I have not discussed it...yet. She isn't presently on

prednisone. The on call rheumy just phoned - wants her to be seen in clinic by

rheumy and immuno tomorrow as he just cannot be sure if it is jra or immune

related.

's calling - gotta run - thanks e for the input.

Not to panic you but my first thought is TB (as in tuberculosis). one of the

hallmark signs is night sweats. This is not the only thing, just what pops up. I

can understand your fear with her immune system but it sounds like it would be

worth a chance. Is her immunologist okay with the Enbrel? That is a hard

decision to make for sure. I would call the doc about the night sweats and lack

of appetite. Is she on prednisone? That can cause night sweats too. Worth giving

the doc a call. I sure hope you find a way to help her to feel better.
