Guest guest
well today was spent in the ER with Tristen and geez I feel for you parents. Since last night the rash got worse, the ankle swelling was gone, and no longer complained of ankle, knee or wrist pain. Last night all these things were present..I was with him and he was so tender touching these places made him draw away and cry..... Today the ER doc comes in and says oh my we have come into contact with something.... we explained the previous ER visit, the ear infection, the antibiotics, the previous docs recommendation which was benadryl and the doc looks at Tristen and says NO JOINT SWELLING so we will treat this as a reaction to the antibiotic...YIKES! we explained the joint swelling and pain but because it was not there today I guess it never existed. But ALAS...doc sees me, hears Tristen call me grandma (keep in mind he is my step grandson, no blood)....and asks my history. We carry on as if he is my blood grandson and doc still seems to not be concerned, calls it antibiotic reaction, tells us to up the benadryl, adds zantac (it increases effectivenes of benadryl) and adds another antibiotic because the ear infection still looks really bad. Follow up with ped and that was it.... I told Nikki to take pics and video if he cries with pain, swelling etc anymore... Guys I dont think its JA, I dont want it to be JA but my mind is filled with JA so this is where it went..am I wrong to want him monitored more or am I a worry wart?? hugs and thanks for the feedback...Donna

**************
It's Tax Time!
