Guest guest
Our daughter, almost 7, wakes up almost every night and wants to sleep in our bed. She usually doesn't say anything and only sometimes cries. She has said that she just can't sleep or had a bad dream. We are not sure why she does it. Both of our daughters between age two and five would have what we found out are called " night terrors. " This can be very scary but from what I have read and heard from other parents is normal. They would wake up crying and scared but not really be awake. They never remembered any of it the next morning. It is hard enough to make sense of things with our children without throwing chronic illness in the mix. We just love them and pray. I don't know if our daughter's waking up may have anything to do with her arthritis, at least not when she seems to be doing well other wise. If soothing the JA symptoms helps maybe that is what is waking her up, if not maybe it is more like what our girls did when they were young. They did grow out of it and it did not become a nightly thing by any means. I don't know if this is any help or not. sometimes for me, just knowing others face similar things helps. I hope you get it figured out and both of you get peaceful night's sleep real soon.
