Well guess where I have been since thursday yeah the hospital. I

guess the fast food and stress finally took its toll on me or maybe

it was my husband meatloaf on wed night LOL. I went to the ED

thusday morning thinking I was having appendix trouble or even just a

virus. The Ed Dr took one look at me and said your having a gall

bladder attack but we will do an ultra sound to be 100% sure. Well

during the scan there was a room full of people going yep unhum can

you see the pancreas wall eww what is that I dont like the look of

that get the radiologist in here. Well she came in and was on the

line asking someone if they had a bed for me or was they going to

ship me downtown. Ok this is after 12 mg of morphine some stadol and

some zofran so I was listening but not really comprehending what was

being said. Until the radiologist took me by the hand and patted me

on the should and said its your gall bladder and you are going to

surgery asap. Here I am all I can think about is going to cleveland

for Caleb in less than 2 weeks I was like I cant be sick I dont have

time for this cant i just gets some meds in me and do this later.

Well the Dr came to my bedside and said we need to get this out asap

but we have a major issue you are full of stones sludge and gang

grene, so you need heavy doses of abts before we can even touch you

or you will go septic and that has a grim prognosis. So they

admitted me with hopes of getting surgery done on Friday. The

surgeon said he would do it then but there was a 70% chance that he

would have to open me up instead of usng laser and with the infection

he did not want to risk that but if I wanted to try he was game for

it. I declined and spent another day/night in the hospital. He came

in on Saturday morning and said we now have no choice your labs are

getting worse but your inflammation has gone down some I think its

time to just try but we do not do surgery on the weekends but in this

case its a have to case and I will call in the team and we will go to

surgery in 1 hour. So I went in for surgery on Saturday around

11am. The Dr said that I was lucky that things went as good as they

did with the surgery. I am now home but going to be off work for

awhile which I am sure they are thrilled about LOL. I can not

drive. And to top this whole thing off I now have a fever so I have

to call the MD in the AM and see if they want to re- admit me for IV

abts. ugh ...It has been pretty warm here the last few days so Caleb

has been a little better minus the stomach bug he and his dad had

while I was in the hospital.
