Thank you for the idea I will have that checked out as well . We are waiting for the result of some blood work for the trip to the urgent care . If nothing come from it i am going to call her dr and make her see her. this time her fever only lasted on day and then is was gone again and she was fine. It is this pattern that has us so scared. Thank you everyone who has reponded. All of your advise has been great and has given me some things to look into and cross my fingers and hope and pray alot.

Thank you all so much

Going with the tonsils, my older daughter

repeatedly got scarlet fever, every month for about 10 months. She would

obviously run fevers and have the rash. She did get the sore throat too, so

strep was always checked. Took out her tonsils about 11 months after this all

started and she was healthy after that. Perhaps there is something lurking in

the tonsils? I know with my daughter the drs said the strep just lived in there

and no matter how many antibiotics we tried we could not knock it out. Strep

can cause reactive arthritis as well. Just chiming in, Michele ( 21,

spondy)

Good luck sweetie :). I remember my friend thinking

she was going

nuts. You really have to do your own research, and be so pushy with

the doctors. Her daughter would get fevers around the same time every

month, and they would last from 1-4 days. Then she would be fine,

until the next month...same damn thing. This happened for 8 months,

and she pushed and pushed for answers. Even the doctors didn't have a

clue. She found something related to the damn tonsils, and ran with

it. Hopefully you can figure hers out too.

Re: Please help need advise!

Hi,Just wanted to chime on in this periodic fever issue. My daughter has suffered from periodic fevers on and off since she was 9 months old (she's now almost 5). At one point they thought it may be Systemic JRA, which is why I joined this group. But, now 2+ years have passed and she never developed arthritis. She still gets fevers almost monthly. Lately her tonsils have been getting enlarged with them, so we just had them taken out. Its still too early to know if it'll fix the fevers, but we are hoping. My point is that there is a condition called that causes periodic fevers. There are other genetic periodic fever conditions as well. Its a difficult thing to diagnose. But, if you research under , you'll get some info. There is also a group which can provide lots of info.Good luck!am> > >> > > Hello everyone it has been a while since I have posted. But I am> going > > > crazy! Hello everyone thanks again for all the input you have given me. We went to the dr yesterday and all of her labs are good. I told the dr some of the thing you all have suggested and she wants me to keep and fever journal for now. The dr did say she does have large tonsils so maybe that may have something to do with it but right know we just dont know. I hate the not knowing. I will keep everyone informed on how she is doing. thanks again

Re: Please help need advise!

Don't forget PANDAS.Kids with JRA,PANDAS,and autoimmune polyglandularsyndromes are about the only ones outside of the third world, who havegotten rheumatic/scarlet fever in the last forty, fifty years or so.When you put all three group together there are a lot of us,but RF/SFis still ignored by most doctors.RF at age seven,is what caused my arthritis in the first place. There are a lot of other things that cause chronic fevers in systemicautoimmune disease. Two I have dealt with are chronic pneumonia, and anunusual chronic meningitis complex,I have had since I was a baby.Thisis a documented condition in those with systemic autoimmune disease, but it is not one that is recognized as a distinct entity, likerheumatic heart disease,or childhood interstitial lung disease, and Ithink it should be.If anybody else here any experience with either chronic meningitis, orautoimmune polyglandular

syndromes,beyond the three identified types,Iwould be very interested in swapping war stories.> > > >> > > > Hello everyone it has been a while since I have posted. But I am> > going > > > > crazy!
