Guest guest
Hi Tina, I know easier said than done, but don't worry! That's why you get paps yearly to catch things early. I've had a couple of abnormal paps. Many years ago it was due to some mild infection. Dr put me on some meds and then the pap was fine. When I got married over 7 years ago, I had a class 3 result which is not good. They did the colposcopy, a biopsy and a leep procedure. Both didn't show any cancerous cells. Afterwards and since then all my paps have been normal. If you have any other concerns, feel free to email me. Good luck, and don't worry! > This is especially for the ladies. I got a call from my ob/gyn that my pap smear came back abnormal with mild dysplasia and I have to go in on the 24th for a colposcopy. Anyone have any idea how likely it is that the cells are cancerous? My mother had cancer of some sort (not sure exactly where since I was out of the country at the time) and had to have a hysterectomy and radiation therapy that messed her all up. Needless to say, I'm a bit scared right now. Guess I'm hoping for a little reassurance that its probably nothing. > > Tina

Guest guest
Hi Tina, From what I understand, abnormal pap smears are pretty common- I have some friends who get those frequently, and my mom gets them so often that it's considered " normal " for her. Ill bet things will work out the same way for you. :-) LIsa
Guest guest
Tina, I'm not a dr. but my sis has had a few come back with " bad " readings and after further testing has been ok. Just keep your chin up and know that we will be thinking of you. Hoping it is nothing. Guest guest
Tina, I have had two friends with mild dysplasia who had laser surgery to remove some " abnormal cells " . They are both fine and have had normal paps since they had their surgeries (coincidentally they had them within a few months of each other) and it has been about 8 years. Hope everything turns out okay, but please let us know the results as soon as you know, we will worry about you until we hear you have a clean bill of health! Guest guest
First of all Ella, your friend doesn't respect your views on your health ideals, and second, a suggestion: perhaps you have hurt your neck rather than the sweets you ate that may be affecting your arm/fingers? Nerve pain may radiate down the arm to cause the pains you are feeling in your fingertips as a result of a sublaxed (partial dislocation of vertebra which impinges on the nerve causing shooting/tingling pains). I think perhaps a visit to a chiropractor is what you need. Do they have any in Malaysia?? My two cents worth.... wishing you all the best. OT: Help I'm a vegan but yesterday i succumbed to temptation, a friend bought me a bag of lace potato chips and two chocolate bars. Now I have shooting pain in my fingertips. It's like their burning. what do i do?:-( I'm typing with one hand. ella -- Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire- Yeats http://ryankachupi.blogspot.com/ http://www.rjellybeanslings.com
Guest guest
Thanks:-) but I have no pain in the neck or arm at all. Yes we do have chiropractors in the philippines. Don't know how to check though for a good one. Any advice? Guest guest
Ella, Find one that will examine and adjust you without the use of x-rays or any other harmful or useless, pricey procedures. A well trained and intuitive chiropractor doesn't need these tools for a problem such as yours. Guest guest
My son uses that software. He's almost 10, and it works pretty well. We don't use the voice commands to turn off the microphone. We actually just hit the icon down in the corner. Have you tried that?
