Guest guest
My son Andy is almost 10. He's had psoriatic arthritis and has seen the opthalmalogist for 4 years with no signs of uveitis (thank goodness). However, he's vision has become increasingly worse over the past year. He got his first set of glasses in August 07. By late January, he needed a new Rx -- and the Rx was quite a bit stronger. Now he's said that he can't see at all, even with his glasses. Only distance is his problem. He reads just fine. It's worrisome that he'll need 3 Rx in one year. Doesn't that seem like a lot? Has anyone encountered this sort of problem? I thought it might be a side effect of the medication: plaquenil, enbrel, arava, naproxen, zantac, aciphex. I'm hoping it's nothing worse. Any ideas? Could it be related to the arthritis? He is in a flare right now, but prior to Aug 07, his eyes were just fine. Thanks so much,
