Guest guest
I could use some insight on this. Early last week Hayden came down with a rash. It was only on his shins. I thought it was heat rash from t-ball socks. It grew steadily worse. It was like a big pimple with a red halo around it. It covered both legs to the shins. I saw it start to go up to the thigh and brought him in to his pediatrician. Basically, they said they had NO CLUE. Kind of looked like several things including bug bites, virus, etc..but nothing like anthing they could pin it down to. Had a few dr's come in to see him too. Basically, she said if he gets worse to come back, if not let it run it's course. It slowly made it's wait to his waist and eventually died out. It left tiny scabs/scars along it's path. This second rash has been off and on a year and not totally related. He had food allergies in the past and I think we may have under estimated them and thought they were gone. He has something like a diaper rash in his crotch area (TMI), and this is exactly how it was when he was younger. So..we are elimating those foods to see if that one goes away. Lastly, he was at Tball and the game was over. He said he was very hot (who's not!) So, I said take of your shirt and i will put some water on you. When he took off his shirt he had what looked like lives all over his trunk, front and back! Not huge...but like the size of a pea. Looked like he had been allergy tested all over his little body. He said they itched like crazy. As we got him in teh car they slowly started to stop getting bigger, and after a nice cool bath, a snack, and jammies it is gone. I can only think it's from the heat. But he's never had heat rash like this. Nothing enviornmental has changed. His body is reacted SO much to such little things that used to not bother him. Is this auto immune? His dr is still not 100% convinced that JRA is all that is going on, and this is part of why I am not either. His skin is freaking out! LOL ANY clue? Thanks, Falen
