Guest guest
I am back! Okizu was amazing, I had a super great group of girls age 6-9, they were phenomenal. My co-counselor was amazing as well, in fact I met her seven summers ago when she was only twelve years old, funny how things change in that time. She was an amazing co-counselor and I absolutely loved her, anytime things got stressful or out of control (and with ten six to nine year olds that was often) we would crack ourselves up and move on, no yelling just lots of fun. She was a sassy one as a kid but really grew up into an amazing woman. She recently lost her sixteen year old brother, he had been battling brain and spine cancer since birth and sadly succumbed to it in January, what a great reference for the two girls in our cabin who also lost siblings. We had mostly new kids but they had a blast and everything went off without a hitch. We had over 120 children with only thirty staff, but you could never tell. As far as how my body held up.. not so bad. I have/had a humongous bump on the top of my left hand, I figured I strained something, but as the days have gone on it seemed to be getting bigger not smaller. I definitely did not breaking anything because it didn't hurt so bad, however it looks like I am smuggling half a golf ball on top of my hand next to my wrist. I couldn't get in to see my rheumy so I went to the regular doctor who attempted to drain the fluid but he wasn't able to get out much. So basically I am left with a bruise from the attempted drain and no answers about how to make it smaller or what it is. I should be seeing Dr. C soon so hopefully it's either gone by then or she will figure it out. Other then that I am doing ok, trying to get by this chest cold I seemed to pick up and resting my joints. I'm going camping on Thursday so hopefully all will be well with that. Pretty boring update but I like it better that way. With Love (MCTD, 23)
