Guest guest
Well we met with the naturopath this week. It was intersting and expensive. First of all the dr. did take a pretty complete history. Drea was feeling very nauseated and in pain so she cried through most of the questioning and kept looking to me to answer for her. The dr. mentioned that Aundrea's pupils were very dialated. She did a test in which we simply shined a flash light on Aundrea's pupil in a dark room. Aundreas eye dialted then constricted which is normal but Aundrea's pupil continued to go back and forth from dilated to normal which is a sign that her adrenals aren't working proprerly and an indication that Aundrea's body is staying in a constant state of " flight " . This dr and the pediatrician both mentioned that they feel aundrea has gerd and irritable bowel syndrome. The doc took dreas blood and is going to run a bunch of test for food allergies. It will be a couple of weeks before we get the results back but it should show us what foods if any that we need to avoid. They also do a test which will show which vitamins that Aundrea is deficient in. We were out of money with the $450 bill from the first visit alone. I am going to have the next test run after I get paid again. The doctor gave us a couple of different medication/supplements to be taken with her meals and through out the day. She is also rechecking aundrea's thryoid because on previous tests it was suggestive of an unhealthy thyroid. She is hoping that the supplements and dietary changes will be enough to calm aundrea's intestinal tract, if not she wants to consider using a small dose of cortisol (steroids) So, we will see if any of this helps. I will keep you posted. (Aundrea 13 fibromyalgia, irritable bowel, GERD)
