Guest guest
Hello, I read quite a bit on this site but don't post very often. I heard such wonderful things about the JA conference that my daughter and I just attended our first one. It was truly amazing (and if you can get a 14 yr old to be happy with anything other than texting that is saying something). I am kicking myself for waiting 2 years to attend! It was soo refreshing to be able to talk to other parents who are going through the same things.... We are already looking forward to next year!! If I hadn't heard such good reviews from this group, I don't think I would have attended. Thanks and keep up the support and a (14) spondy
Guest guest
I'm so glad that you went!!!! And that your daughter had a great time too!!! You're thoughts re. not going remind me of my friend . My friend and I Had attended several AJAO conferences and talked about them like the best place on earth.... , while she didn't admit at the time, thought HOW fun can going to a CONFERENCE be with a bunch of people with this rotton disease. Well she ended up going with us to Seatle and she had a BALL. SHe admitted to us that it was not at all what she expected and the following yeat, she got her boyfriend to attend as well as a young lady from Mexico who has been part of the JA camp for years etc. Once you start, you can't stop.... lol Anyways, glad it was terrific.. I wish I had been able to attend esp since it wasn't all that far from me! Guest guest
, Glad you and your daughter enjoyed the Conference. I have been to 2 of them and enjoy each time I go. Something like a reunion when you go plus a added benefit as you know many there each year. I encourage every Parent to go to one and that is all it takes. I know from My own experience that meeting others who are dealing with the same issue JA is refreshing and sure helps alot. I also understand about the Teen years of texting lololol. Or Iming lololol. It is fun though as my sister will be upstairs on her Computer and someone calls down on the first floor and want to talk with her lololol. If I am on the computer also I will IM her and let her know. Ummmmm Cause I do not like going upstairs at times lolololol. Because I go up and down them a lot during the day lololol.... Now my sister does not know how I do the Im thing so she will call me on the cell phone and ask me to come upstairs lolololol. Amazing what this new Tech does lololol. I know alittle about it but the texting on the cell phone I have to admit I do not know how to do it lololol. I holler for at times when the new Tech issues lolol. Ok, I never learned to do the VHS thing nor do I know how to use the DVD CD thing lolol. I have messed up those really quick lolol. So I keep my hands off them. Oh and when I want to watch TV which is hardly ever as I can not do the remote control lololol Which controller works what ? But hand it to a kid and they have it all under control lololololol.
