Guest guest
Hello to everyone and all the new members. I have been out of it for a month or soo. We had two hurricanes hit us. Thankfully we only had wind damage for one. Although, my parents in in-laws are having a hard time. Finally after Katrina everyone was finally finishing there homes when Ike hit Galvaston and brought us water. My mom got 16 " in her home and my in-laws got 18 " . It's devastating and upsetting to see everyone live threw this nightmare again.. Please keep all of the residents in Lafitte, Barataria, Crownpoint, Texas , and any other area that has been hit by these hurricanes in your prayers. Thank You, Krissy With that said, I'm just now getting to read and check my e-mails. I am having heart failure over the article on on the Arthritis drugs. Emerson has all the symtoms of the diease and I'm panicing. Any advice ?? I'm thinking about calling her Rheumy and see about having blood work done?? I'm so scared after reading this article.... We are also still up in the air about switching to Remicade as per Dr., all of her Dr.s here have different opinions, some say try it while others say there's too many dangerous side effects. I need help and don't know what to do. This is soo frustrating, I want to do what's best for Emmie but I'm so scared she gets an infection and can't overcome it. Emmie's update: She still complains of being nauseated all day, I had to go and check her out of school yesterday.I'm so tired of her complaining of feeling sick. She started complaining that she itches all over? Dr's said they don't know what it could be? We are still doing 3 drops a day of pred forte and 1 drop of atropine a day. She's been having a dry cough, back in August her Allergy/Immu. Dr. put her on Flovent 44 b/c she was short of breathe, I have seen a big difference and it's helped her. He also gave her a pnuennicocial vacc. to help with all the strep throats and sinus infections. We have done allergy test for indoor and outdoor allergies and everything came back normal (Great!) She said she's tired every day. We have held her injections last week b/c of the stomach virus.. We all had the stomach virus for the last two-three weeks, Landen ended up in the hopsital for Gustav in Merdian,Ms and Olivia was in the hospital two saturdays ago here in New Orleans, Emmie came down with it one day. Thank goodness we are all better from that ! Sorry I have written so much, I've been out of touch lately. It's just been crazy, trying to help eveyone clean up and tending to the kids. I need help and advice on Emmie's medication. It's so frustrating having to go threw all this and not know what is the best and correct answer. My biggest fear is that Emmie will catch an infection and have trouble fighting it. I know I'm thinking the worst. Any advice or thoughts ????? Sincerely, Krissy & (Emmie systemic JRA/uveitis 6yr, Landen ana positive 2 yr, and Olivia 1 yr)
