Guest guest
I know so many of you are struggling and your child is struggling and it can be hard to think of the future for your child and what will he/she do when they are older etc. My daughter has never hit a remission--be it medicated or unmedicated. She has been through the wringer like so many and yet JRA has not won. On Saturday she graduated from University with a Bachelors degree in Education, with a minor in Music, an emphasis in History, and a Reading Endorsement. She is now eligible to teach K-8. She has done this with ER trips, hospital stays, injections, IVs, surgery, depression, etc. but JRA did not win. I am not posting this to brag (although I am proud of her and her accomplishments) but to let you know there is hope. There may have to be a change in dreams--she has had to quit some things, change other things, etc. but she still did it. And so can your child. Seek out the help you need, don't give in. You can do it. e, mom to " joe " age 21 poly/lupus
