Guest guest
Well, I have to say, it has been rather disappointing. Out of the more than 10 letters I sent out I only heard from 2. One was a guy from the local state congress person who basically said there is nothing he can do. He contacted people who gave him the same run around as I have received. The other was a national senator's office who were so rude it was ridiculous. After speaking with the DSHS office consumer complaint dept who it appears has the job of saying " I'm sorry ma'am and how does that make you feel? " --I found out my daughter can qualify for medical if she were pregnant, in jail, or an illegal alien but as a college student she should be able to work full time and receive benefits. They reviewed her records and she is stable on medication--really? And so therefore she does not qualify. I mentioned how she would become rapidly unstable without her Remicade etc and would end up in the ER or hospital and was told they would cover her then. I can't believe they would rather pay emergency bills than keep her stable. She will graduate from university in 9 days but the possibility of finding full-time employment soon in her field is highly unlikely. That doesn't mean we aren't praying for a miracle here. We joke around that instead of marrying a man for a green card (like in some movie we watched) she'll marry him for health insurance!!! e, mom to " joe " 21 poly/lupus (and we just found out severely deficient in Vitamin D) who will graduate from University on the 13th!!!!--Take that JRA!!!!!!)
