Guest guest
Sorry I have not been on the board much, it seems like the older I get the less time I get on the computer. So this is what it means to be an adult! My credential program start back up and it is really great, if not super tiring, I'm at my university for seven hours on Tuesday and ten on Thursdays, all day in class listening to lectures. However I still feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to go to graduate school for something I really love, education. I am doing my student teaching on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in kindergarten and it's been fun so far, it's interesting the various education levels children at age five have, but mostly it's been a blast and it's keeping me busy. I have had an opportunity to share with my classmates in the credential program what my educational experience was being a child with Juvenile Arthritis as well as giving them insight on how to approach a kid with a chronic illness who may end up in their class. It was awesome to see that their opinions changed when they met someone who has had to go through that. I guess as an educator I could see how frequent absences would be hard, but in the long run it's hardest for the child and it's something we as educators must remember. I'm really glad I was able to bring awareness for the disease as well as help to educate our future educators on kids who may potentially end up in their classes. As far as the JA goes, well lets just say not good. I know treatment needs to get started back up, unfortunately I just haven't gotten around to the immunologist. I had an appointment on Thursday but was unable to go due to school. So I'm going to have to call them up and see if we can schedule it for a M,W, or F in the afternoon. So that is my very long update. Hope everyone is well. Love always, (MCTD, 23) www.school-loohcs.blogspot.com
