Guest guest
Thanks for getting back to me . Have just posted more information at suggestion of anotherr member. Am still awaiting FT$ and FT3. My TSH was 1.2 and because it was normal had heated exchanges with my own GP who refused to give me anitbodies test even though I had found runners who had experienced sudden fatigue like mine and had thyroid problems. Really appreciate your help and sorry to be such numpty but are you saying that presence of antibodies means I do have autoimmune disease or is it a pointer towards the possibility in the future? >
Guest guest
Thanks angel, No meds yet only got elevated antibodies on Friday. Have been advised to do silivary test for adrenal fatigue as symptoms suggest this. Supposing that is the case how do your treat it/build them back up? It's amazing how much more positive I feel as I gather information, so thanks again. phil > > Hi Phil, you have come to the right place . the auto-antibodies you have means that it is either hashimoto`s(low thyroid) or graves(high thyroid) so the TSH tests don`t mean much as you can have hasimoto`s thyroiditis and have a TSH anywhere in the range. most don`t get a diagnosis until it is over 5.0, but could be even much higher. if you have these then it is an autoimmune condition. your own body fells > to recognise self form non self. most of us in this group have hashi`s and also you can have other one`s like diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis, some have graves and adrenal fatigue. are you taking any medicines for this yet? have you the results of you last tests? if so post them to us and include the ranges. it will look like this- > 2.50- range 0.3- 4.2. . hope this helps angel. >
Guest guest
Hi Phil, Yes, you do have autoimmune disease- or antibodies would not be in your system- you obviously have symptoms or you would not be here. With some folk the TSH rises very slowly if at all due to a sluggish pituitary. Doc is unlikely to agree to treatment unless TSH rises substantially- you can write him a letter detailing test results symptoms- see list in files to make sure you get them all and ask for a referral to an endo and in the mean time ask for tests for zinc selenium D3 low ferritin as any will reduce absorption of thyroid hormones if low also candida will have the same effect. > thyroid treatment > From: philokwedy@...> Date: Tue, 22 Jun 2010 11:51:15 +0000> Subject: Re: new and confused> > Thanks for getting back to me . Guest guest
My daughter is 6. She has had GI problems since birth. Food intolerances, motility issues with her stomach and malabsorption. She has a g-tube for supplemental feedings with formula due to food intolerances. She has had right leg pain for over 2 years. She will wake at night 1-2 times a week and cry for 1-3 hours of knee and foot pain. She will also complain during the day maybe 1-2 times a week. She doesnt limp though, just cries in pain.... we were told it was growing pains for so many years. Her ANA titer and RA factor were normal.. as well as her ESR. We went to Rheumy anyway and she noticed she had some swelling in her knee and ankle. xray looked normal though.. She also noted that leg was 2.5cm shorter. Also, a blotcy rash on her legs... she has always had it. She said it could be childhood arthritis but wanted to wait for some more blood tests to be back to make the final decision. Not sure what she is waiting for to be back.
Guest guest
I totally agree with you. This type of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. In my opinion, people can express what they feel is right, whether to buy solved feedbacks or not. But there is no need to be offensive and disrespectful to them . Please, let's respect others freedom of speech and advice.Sent from my iPhoneOn 6 Oct 2011, at 11:46, Eldridge <deldridgef@...> wrote: Hi guysIm new to this group and Im kind of confused and shoked.Whats going on here?
