Guest guest
I meant to post several days ago. Thanks for your advice! It really pushed me to stop second guessing myself. I made an appt. for Henry to see the rheum. tomorrow morning. Since I have taken the week off, I took a shot at her having some availability so soon, and we are driving 3.5 hours today to see her in the morning. Poor kid gets so irritated with me when I bring up his hands or his neck, but he is learning that he starts to feel better when someone pays attention. If the doctor does take this seriously, what can I expect? Is there a better (o worse) way to present this? I feel a little better going up to her office in KC, rather than the quick-clinic she has every two months. Thanks, Veri, or I would have thought to just expect that anywhere! Once you start looking at their little quirks so many start to look like possibly more. I plan on finding some pictures as well that show how he reads. I have MANY pictures of his reading a book while laying on a table, or bench of a picnic table with the book below him. I have begun wondering if this is some subconscious way of keeping his neck in a neutral position. I have just always thought this was just cute. If he is suffering any kind of damage that we can't see, even with physical exam, how can they find it? I am not sure what else to ask you all for, but I know that you have been down this road before me, and have the wisdom to help me know what to be assertive about. Thank you for your help, as always, Kim
