Guest guest
We saw our specialist over 2 weeks ago, and he said Amy needed to go up to the children's hospital for steroid injections and a tailored treatment plan, as well as Orthoptist and Occupational Therapist appointment. He also said he'd notify our GP so I could get repeat prescriptions from there It took over a week for our GP to get official notice of Amy's condition so they would authorise the prescription, and that was with my daily nagging on the phone to his secretary Now after over 2 weeks we still have had no appointments through and have only just recieved a copy of the specialist letter sent to our GP! I decided today to turn into a pest, and after the specialist secretary keep saying she'll phone back, I have resorted to daily phone calls and even telephoned Orthoptist and OT myself to check if they'd had a referral yet - Orthoptist haven't and OT only just recieved it today!!! It's my birthday next week, then our eldest finishes school for christmas holidays on the 19th Dec so I'll have to take him to the children's hospital too if it's not soon! I did however get some more info from the letter sent to my GP - can't understand all of it - if someone can explain... " Amy has a degree of anaemia with HGB of 89g and platelets of 399. She has not had her Ferritin done but there is a little hypochromia " If someone could explain it that would be great Amy in herself is grouchy and although the increase in pain and anti inflammatorys was good at first she is now in pain again and her knees are often stiff. In the morning first thing she can't weight bear and takes ages to get moving - it's heartbreaking to se her in such pain Love xxxxxxxxxxxxx Mum to Amy age 2 1/2 - Pauci-articular/Oglio-articular Immune Arthritis
