Help!

Anybody out there have any experience

using Green Rare Earth 600 or Blue 800 speed screens for x-rays?

I currently use Green Rare-earth (Regular

– 400 speed), but am contemplating changing to a faster system to lower

patient exposure.

Thanks!

,

I don't have information on the question you asked, but I am curious about the

products that your friend sells.

Is there a website for the homeopathic sprays?

Kinda sorta. Lol It's not a great site--well, it looks nice but there's

not a lot of info on the sprays because they were not ready to start selling

from the web when they put it up. He normally sells via ads in magazines

and personal contact. I'll see if I can come up with some info for you.

What are you interested in? Like, are you a home gardener or a larger

farmer? Not that that makes a difference in the sprays--they are all the

same. It's just size of container that would be different.

Plus, he's got a small line of personal sprays that are incredible! I've

been using the pain sprays for my father, who has diabetic nuropathy, and my

brother was here with a cracked rib and using the sprays he got the first

full nights sleep in a month since cracking it.

I'll see what info I can find out for you.

Interesting question. I have been thinking about this lately and

considering writing on the package, photographic film enclosed, package

may be opened for inspection by Post Master, DO Not Radiate.

Next time I go to the post office I'm going to ask them if that would

work or be a waste of time.

Oh, good idea. I'll pass that on. Don't know if you saw on another list

that I wrote that a dentist told him that he could take some dental film,

cut it into small pieces, and attach a paper clip to it. Then when the

client opened the package they could send the film back to him, he could

develop it and see if it got xrayed or not. But that's a lot of work and

cost, and most people won't do that anyway. His sprays still work after

being xrayed, but he doesn't like it and wants to avoid it if at all

possible. I was told that UPS has their own system and so would be more

likely not to Xray, whereas our gov. Postal system probably would.

I have been told by the Postal officials that only suspicious

appearing packages are actually x-rayed. All packages are

scanned...as they are in all of the carriers. Joyce

Hi all:

Hannah's ped has ordered the bone density at our Children's Hospital.  He said

the protocol is to do a bone age xray first.  Anyone know what this is?  I'll be

calling to set up the bone density this week, not sure how long the wait will be

to get in.

Also so far all her labs came back normal.  The only result I have not

gotten yet is her Vitamin D level.

Beth & Hannah, 11, unspecified arthritis w/hypermobility; asthma; gerd;

migraines; ulcers

Sending prayers & happy thoughts,

Beth :)

Hi Beth,

a bone age x-ray is usually done on the hand/wrist, as it requires the least

radiation.  It allows them to observe growth plates and helps estimate how much

growth time left...for example, at 16, the orthopedist told us 's growth

plate was not completely fused so she might still grow a bit. We had assumed she

was done...she grew another inch over the next 18 months...pretty amazing stuff

from a wrist x-ray.

Glad you have the orders - hope the wait isn't too long.

Diane,

Glad we could help. Even now wears her shoes which makes her

taller than me. lololol. I think it is something Kid's go through. It is

amazing

though what shorter folks can do lololol. says well I can be shorter

or taller lololol. By a few inches.

Tell Maggie to keep her head up and look to the Stars and that is how

tall she is :-).

I have not checked my email in eons--too much going on at home with surgery and

such--so this may be old news to you. But the bone density test can not really

be read--we found this out the hard way. You spend all the time for the test and

all the money and there are no comparable norms for children, teens, young

adults, etc. This is a test that is typically done on an older woman to evaluate

her osteoporosis so they have norms for that. So, just warning you that perhaps

you might not want to pursue it because it basically tells you nothing--sadly.

As for bone age--they check on the growth plates and where they are etc and can

make determinations that way. --e

http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/health/info/growth/procedure/bone-age.htm

A bone age, also called skeletal age, is determined by taking an x-ray (picture)

of the left hand and wrist. There are many bones and growth plates (openings

between your bones) in your hand and wrist that allow you to grow. The doctor

can tell from the x-ray how much time a child has left to grow.

Your body makes many hormones that change the way your x-ray looks as you get

older. As you age, your body makes more and more hormones. These hormones make

the size of your growth plates shrink. They also cause changes in your bones and

form new bones. Your child's doctor will look at all of these changes when

he/she looks at the x-ray.

Sometimes your body does not make the right amount of hormones for your real

age. When this happens, your bone age might be older or younger than your real

age.

If there is a difference between your child's real age and the bone age, the

x-ray will help the doctor decide how to care for your child.
