Red Buump On Ankle

Just wondering if anyone had seen this before. My daughter had steroid

injections in her ankles (among other places) when she was three. She is now

6.When she had the injections done the muscle around her ankles disappeared. It

is pretty much just bone and a tiny bit of tendon. she bangs them all the time

and it really hurts her. I have been waiting for this muscle to return now I'm

wondering if it ever will. It hasn't really been a problem but now she has been

getting a red bump on each side. Before Christmas she has one and it was slighty

raised and very red. It only hurts her to put pressure on the spot so just when

she is putting her shoes on or something. The Rheumy put her on Advil for two

weeks and it went away now she has one on the other ankle. The Rheumy said that

she thought the first one was a synovial cyst but now that she has one on the

other ankle I cant see that being it. Both have been in the exact same spot on

the outside of her ankle. I would love to post a pic of her ankles but I'm not

sure how. Also I called to get her in for the doctor to see her and she has a

broken ankle right now and is out of office for two weeks. So I'm not sure what

to do now. She isn't in huge pain but I do think we need to figure out what it

is. I will keep trying to post some pics. Thank you for any advice in advance.
