Guest guest
I thank God for the medications that help our children function normally - yeah!! How exciting for her to be going to prom nn > > > For those of you that see my fb posts you may have read that I took Jaye prom dress shopping yesterday. The day started early with a Cookout at our church where the youth worked for about five hours with setup, games, moonwalk, obsticle course and cleanup. At the end of the event Jaye swept the fellowship hall, vacuumed most of the halls in the church and did other clean up jobs. After we left the church she went home to shower and we headed to Wichita to prom dress shop. She was on the go from 9:30 a.m. til 8:30 p.m. Yes she was exhaused, totally by the time we got home but she had fun and only at one time during the afternoon did she comment that her feet hurt. No other joint complaints. She did go to bed after we got home and slept like a baby all night. I wondered how she would do today but she got up and went to church this morning as well. After church and lunch we headed back to Wichita to shop for a wrap, handbag, shoes and a puffy slip for her dress. We had so much fun and came home with everything except the shoes. I share this with you to say even though she is totally exhausted today she is still functioning. Before Enbrel, I am not sure we would have been able to do all of this in two days. Before Enbrel i do not think we would have even been able to do the all day Saturday thing we did moreless add todays things. I do not like all the med's but I sure do like my girl doing the things she wants to do. > > Veri & Jaye 17 poly > > > > > >

Guest guest
I just had to share this because things are going better then they have in such a long time. I am so excited about Jaye going to prom that I can hardly stand it. We discussed today that if she gets half as excited as I am about it she will be doing good. When I talk about it she will look at me, shake her head, kind of roll her eyes and just smile as if to say. Ok, Mom, enough is enough. she has just come so far I cant describe it. All of you can relate, you watch your kids not doing the things they should be able to do and we get used to it and sometimes even accept it as normal. Now that we are moving toward a new normal I am thrilled. Veri & Jaye 17 poly Re: My girl is going to prom Your email made me smile. Guest guest
YEAH Jaye!!! I have a 15yr old girl without JRA and sometimes after alot of walking her feet will hurt and after a full day or two of shopping it is not uncommon for her to take a nap or go to bed early. Can't say her complaints aren't from the JRA , but I just wanted to let you know it happens to my healthy teen too. I am sure she is going to be beautiful on her big night and have a blast. Hugs, Becki and 12 SoJRA ________________________________ From: " veristroud@...
