Guest guest
Hi If you log in to you can actually update your account information. then add in your Aol address. You can actually set up your account so that you can post to the List from different addresses, and decide which email address you want all your List mails to be sent to. For myself, I can post both from my ISP account as well as my account. Hope this helps, email me if I can be of any help. Guest guest
, if I'm not wrong any cell phone comes with 911, all you have to do is punch in the numbers. I was also told that even if the phone was not hooked up you can still dial 911 on it. Just rang in 911 and they will find you. I know because I've done it myself, thro I'm not db, I'm only deaf. Guest guest
Patsy is correct. If you have a phone with the battery charged and no cell phone service; you can utilize it to call 911. I hope you do not have to use it but if you do it is there for you GPS systems are starting to come down in price. There is the iFinder at Taget that is handheld and sells for about $100. There's not much memory on it for a walking individual that is adequate (more memory is needed for additional maps). The eTrex is smaller (about the size of a cellphone) and is prieced about $150 Hope this helps Kim B Advanced Bionics CI > > , if I'm not wrong any cell phone comes with 911, all you have to do is > punch in the numbers. Guest guest
, I don't know how remote your neighborhood is, but when I'm disoriented, I solicit the assistance of a nearby business (whether it be for assistance crossing the street pre-CI or information about construction sites, etc.). I've also had business owners call 911 on my behalf explaining that I was deafblind. In one instance, I was stranded in a blizzard of knee deep snow unable to maintain my orientation. Fortunately I had my cane and was able to use that as a probe to find my way to the corner gas station in conjunction with giving Tigger the " Inside. Find the door " command. You might be interested in purchasing a basic cell phone with a pay as you go card so you aren't tied to a contract. This is what I have through Cingular and so far, it has met my needs perfectly. You can add more minutes as you need them and don't need to worry about service contracts. Friends? hmm..what are they? oh those people who were in my life until they found out I was sick. So that's where our energy's might be..out livin' up. If you see mine, please send her home. I need her and I know we can work things out somehow. I know she feels under used, and I have taken some steps to correct that and now I'm just waiting for the new meds to start working. Maybe, if we're lucky, I'll be back to my old self with her not an inch away. If meds don't help you and your energy get together, try some light exercises, like walking gardening, stretching and breathing..etc... Best of luck. Guest guest
I recommend this site www.nationaltechexam.org It shows an outline of the topics covered on the National exam and also you can purchase a study manual to give you an idea what you should know > > I'm about to begin studying and reviewing for the exam in June, but I have no idea where to start. Guest guest
Hello! Go to the Menu on the site home page. Select 'Files " Select #5 Tutorials...... Select FAQ's for PTCB Find the document on the items to study PER PTCB Return to this site: go to the second file study books and guides. Purchase new or used two good books from different authors. Read my recommendations. What would you rather know; What luck one person had with specific books that he or she used OR What benefits different books have, recommendation by Jeanetta based upon her knowledge of many books, what they offer, what others have said as live students in her class and on the site? Make sure at least one of your books is not older than 2 - 3 yrs old. Not much changes in pharm tech that they will ask you about. Recall; Get a good night's rest before exam day Do not second guess yourselfa; do not change answers. Double check that you have answered all questions (most electronuic exams will not let you continue) Take three long deep breaths to calm down, when you think you are going blank or any tough question. Do not eat high sugars before the exam unless you are allowed to continue to do so. PTCB you will not be allowed to bring in food. Hope this helps, there are many more tips in my tutorial section. Guest guest
My family physician thinks my daughter has JRA. She has gone from a happy go lucky athletic 13 year old, three weeks ago. To a child who has so much pain in her joints she has trouble walking, opening a door, holding a pencil or opening a bottle of water. She has chronic fatigue as well and has missed many days of school. We have had xrays, bone scan, blood tests ect. I took her to Childrens Hospital in Detroit on Monday. The Pediatric Rheumatologist examined her & said she has no arthritis at all and can do nothing for her. Of course we are fustrated and angry. Amelia is in so much pain she has trouble sleeping. We have another appointment with another Pediatric Rheumatologist in two weeks. We have tried motrin, advil, aleve, tylenol, naprosyn ect. nothing works. What do we do for her pain? We have two more weeks to wait to see another doctor. In the meantime she suffers. Does anyone know what we can do? Dan
Guest guest
Welcome Dan. I am glad that you have received some great advice already on finding a new rheumy. As to your daughter's pain in the mean time, I would suggest that she take warm showers in the morning. That will help to loosen her stiff joints. Also using a heated mattress pad is something many people find helpful. Your daughter's pain sounds like it is mostly in her hands. My son's was originally mostly in his ankles and the physical therapist had us soak his feet in warm water and then gently rotate the foot. You could probably do something like this for her hands. Let them soak and then have her gently rotate the wrist. Some people have used the paraffin baths that are sold. Basically it is a device that heats up wax, and you put your hand (or foot) in it. When you do see the rheumy, getting OT and PT sounds like it would really benefit your daughter. Unfortunately, the fatigue is a part of the disease as the body is in a constant battle with itself. Kids with this disease have a hyper immune system and it is always attacking the joints or tendons. That is why taking a drug that suppresses the immune system, like a Methotrexate, is so helpful. You have already tried so many NSAID's that moving on seems the best course of action. Also joint injections are often used early after diagnosis and that may give your daughter some relief. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. The parents here have a lot of experience in dealing with this disease day by day, Michele ( 23, spondy) From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of danmanley47@...
