Guest guest
Yeah!! What wonderful news!! From: lecodianne@... Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2011 22:05:24 -0700 Subject: Update- Exciting news Hello All, I am very excited to announce that my husband and I are expecting our first baby! We found out in January and I am just about 12 weeks now. Our baby should be here between the 3rd-8th of October (my OB does not give an day rather a window of when the baby should come). So far everything looks great. I had to go off of the Humira immediately when I found I was pregnant. My rheumy is just not comfortable with her patients who are pregnant staying on it. I actually had to agree with her there. I have never had a problem weighing the benefits of the medication against the possible side effects I could face but I realized that I did have a problem with the possible side effects it might cause my baby. It's bad enough I have to take these medications, this little baby should not have to. At this point I am on no medication (other than a prenatal vitamin and an anti-nausea medicine to help with my morning [psshh all day] sickness) although my rhuemy did say that in the event a flare occurred we would come up with an alternative treatment plan that is safe during pregnancy. For the most part I am doing well, though this last week I have had an increase in swelling, pain and stiffness, I am feeling better than I expected joint wise. All in all though I am beyond happy and excited! It's so nice to go to the doctor for something " normal " and exciting. I get to be a pregnant woman, granted I am a pregnant woman with JIA, but I am first and foremost a pregnant woman. It's a very exciting new chapter in my life! Guest guest
Congratulations!!!!!! How exciting for you. Babies are true gifts from God and I know you will make a great mommy.Mine are 12 and 15 and still call me mommy, the catch is when they say " I love you mommy " which means they want something and I would give them the world if I could. They say pregnancy can bring on remission or close to it so I pray that is the case for you. Besides the morning, day and night sickness I wish you a happy, healthy pregnancy, Love and hugs, Becki and 12 Sojra 6 short, beautiful weeks med free ________________________________ From: Codianne <lecodianne@...> Sent: Tue, March 22, 2011 12:05:24 AM Subject: Update- Exciting news Hello All, I am very excited to announce that my husband and I are expecting our first baby! Guest guest
Congrats !! How exciting. I hope the nausea/sickness subsides. I had the same issue with my pregnancy and I found some success with Sea Bands and Preggo Pops. (you can find Sea Bands at your local drug store-look where they have their Dramamine & Preggo Pops can be bought in some Maternity Boutique stores or they are sold by Amazon also.) Good luck. I am wishing for a long uneventful pregnancy for you & Mike. Guest guest
Oh , what wonderful news!!!! I am so thrilled for you - having kids has been one of the best parts of my life. =) I hope that the pregnancy is kind to you and that you get some much needed relief from the RA. And as for the all day sickness (which I had very badly with #2 and #3), just take it easy, rest, rest, rest, and don't hesitate to ask your OB for help in controlling it - there are lots of options out there. You don't have to suffer. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! Sharon > > Hello All, > I am very excited to announce that my husband and I are expecting our first baby! Guest guest
, I am so very excited for you and your husband. I pray that you will experience the remission that many have said can occur while pregnant. I pray that you will someday go into a total remission and be able to experience the " normal " life without pain and inflamation. You are an amazing young woman and I love the strength you have. I pray that the nausia will also go away and you will enjoy much of your pregnancy. I loved being pregnant, the feeling of the baby beginning to move inside is an amazing feeling that you can not describe to someone unless they have experienced it. The movement would bring a smile to my face at any given moment. People say that pregnant people just glow and I believe it. I pray that you can relax and enjoy this and not worry about all the " what if's " . I pray that you can forget about how bad the JRA has made you feel over the past many years. Have fun shopping for this baby and setting up the baby's room. You deserve to really enjoy this time. And let yourself be pampered a bit. You are an inspiration to all of us that have kids with JRA. I want my daughter to be able to have the experience of becoming a mother as well. Jaye has health issues and medications beyond the JRA that she will have to take into consideration, but with God all things are possible. Keep us informed to how you are doing. Let us know when you feel that baby kicking and when baby has the hiccups.
