Hello Everyone,

We seen Emmie's GI Dr today, he said from his stand point, physically after the

scope, Reflux test and Gastric bypass test, Emerson has severe Reflux, he added

Zantac 75mg at bedtime with the 15mg of Prevacid 2xday for it. He wants me to

get back with him in a couple of days and see what's going on.

As for her nausea- the only thing he can see he said is to relate it to the

methotrexate. He thinks it's giving her alot of her GI problems.

I asked him about switching from the Enbrel/Metho cocktail to the

Remicade/Cellcept and he said he would advise me to talk to our Rheumy about it

in detail (Which we have done) but he has patients on it that has crohn's and

sickle cell and are doing wonderful on it, but he explained each child is

different.....  So I guess me & need to make up our minds what to do?? I

would like Dr. to talk to our Rheumy himself and explain his

recommendations, has he done this for anyone??

Emerson has started complaining of itching for the last two days, she's never

complained of this, tonight I was checking my e-mails and I know systemic has

rashes but Emerson has never had this or complained with it since she was

diagnosed??? Any suggestions?? She's sleeping so I will check her tomorrow and

see if there's a rash, I just thought it was from playing outside ??? THis is a

first........... She said, " Mom, all I want to do is scratch b/c I'm itchy all

the time "

Dr. did speak to our Rheumatologist over the phone. They

decided together to put on Humira. I was glad to be able to do

the Humira instead of Remicaide just for the ease of administrating

it. I don't know why the doctor's would choose one over the other

though.
